Meet the Chefs!
Meet Head Chef Drew
“Hello my name is Chef Drew,
I am a Creighton Alum and the founder of The Salsa Kitchen. I created The Salsa Kitchen originally because my friends that were under 21 couldn’t go to the 21+ social events. With the help of amazing friends and a fantastic mentor in Nathan Preheim, I created The Salsa Kitchen Omaha.
In my free time I love hanging out with my amazing girlfriend Lauren, my supportive cat Don Corleone, and taking amazing trips around the world with friends.”
Meet Chef Katrina
Katrina Martin-Jimenez is our Vice President and one of our Chefs here at the Salsa Kitchen. She is currently pursuing a BSBA in Financial Analysis with a minor in Entrepreneurship with the goal of owning her own Latin Dance Studio in the future.
Meet Chef Nelly
“When it comes to dancing, I've been dancing for a little over a year now. My family has always enjoyed dancing, so growing up I often danced a cumbia style salsa; I believe my parents are a big reason why I started dancing!
I'm a university student at UNO, pursuing a degree in MIS.
During my free time, other than dancing, I like to watch a good movie, play some racquetball, and go for a stroll with my dog named Leo.”
Meet Chef Daniel
"I am currently in school for Pharmacology. I got into salsa because the first class was difficult and I wanted to figure it out. My favorite themed event was ‘Salsaween’.”
Meet Chef Aliyah
“My name is Aliyah and I am from Kansas City and currently attending Creighton University in Omaha. I first learned salsa through a club in high school, and I am now a member of the Creighton Salsa club. I absolutely love dancing and I feel blessed to have so many outlets to improve myself and meet new people!”
Meet Chef Mary
Mary is our fun loving hostess ready to greet all of our guests! She fell in love with salsa and wants to put that joy back into the community through Salsa Kitchen events. If she’s not at the front desk you can catch her on the dance floor, dancing the night away!”
